If you’re familiar with my poetry or work online, you may know me as The Fairy Godmother.

I’m Marisa (Ris), a multimedia storyteller and self-acceptance advocate.

I utilize a combination of the written word, videography, and character acting to create content that uplifts people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds.

Personally, my passions lie in creative expression paired with advocacy for eating disorder recovery, self-acceptance, and body positivity. My personal blog focuses on addressing these issues.

Professionally, I’ve worked as a content strategist, copy-writer, print publication editor, and actress. My journalism pieces demonstrate some of my best work and most fascinating interviews.

Academically, I’m scheduled to graduate with my Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Journalism in May, 2021.

Throughout my academic career, I excelled in debate and print publication. I won Top Speaker in Florida for Collegiate British Parliamentary Debate and claimed the BP state championship title in 2020. I also worked as Editor-in-Chief for my University’s student news organization, iPulse.
